On the Move: RPT Team Out and About Next Few Months
One thing that we love about being a part of RPT is that we get to work with different communities of interest that are all trying to change and shape policy and interaction. We are excited to be participating in some great events over the next two months and wanted to share some of our favorites on the list.
- Transparency Camp West. Stephanie and I will be heading to Mountain View Aug. 8-9 for what it is sure to be a great event. I love when thought leaders gather on the West Coast, and transparency is starting to become more of a national conversation. Our research team heads to the event to find out more and share.
- National Conference on Citizenship. Having attended the last two years in a row, it is refreshing to see more young people and innovative technologies become a part of the conference, as well as the national conversation, on civic engagement. Justice Scalia will be speaking at this year’s conference (following a hard act to beat, Sandra Day O’Connor, from last year’s conference).
We will also be presenting at the National Women’s Political Caucus’ national conference in Newport Beach on August 7th, specifically on the topic of online technology and social media. We love to share case studies and how-to’s with all of the tools that are now available.
I am sure we will be adding more to the calendar. We will also be checking out the Gov 2.0 Summit (and crossing our fingers that we get to present one of our two beta projects to shake up civic engagement). We will see.
